What auto comment for TikTok does
A comment is the heaviest kind of engagement you can leave on someone's video: it is public, it is read by the creator and by everyone who opens the comment section, and it stays there. Done well, it is also the one that gets the most profile visits back — a specific sentence under a video in your niche is far more likely to earn a tap on your name than a like ever will. Done badly, it is spam, and TikTok treats it that way.
The auto comment tab in Unfollow for TikTok exists to do the slow, careful version of this. You choose a hashtag, you write your own comments, and the extension opens the videos under that hashtag in your real tiktok.com tab, watches each one, and leaves a single comment from your list. It never invents text, it never repeats itself back to back, and it never touches a video twice. Everything it does appears in the session log as it happens, and the Stats tab charts your comments per day next to your likes and unfollows.
Your own comments: the list is yours
The core of the mode is a plain list in the Comments tab. You add a comment, you remove a comment, you edit the list whenever you like; it is stored in your browser and never leaves it (only your TikTok user ID and daily action counts sync to our server, to enforce plan limits). Then three rules apply to every session:
- Random pick. Each video gets one comment drawn at random from your list, so the order is never predictable.
- Never the same text twice in a row. The comment that was just posted is excluded from the next draw. Two videos in sequence never carry the same words.
- Never a second comment on the same video. Videos the extension has already commented on are remembered and skipped, even if the hashtag page shows them again tomorrow and even across sessions.
Because the picks rotate, the list needs at least two texts and works best with eight or more. The more varied your comments are, the less any single one repeats across a day — which, as the next sections explain, is the whole point.
Watches first, then comments — with Also Like and Skip Ads
Exactly like the auto like mode, a comment is never sent the instant a video loads. The extension watches each video for a random 4–9 seconds, with the video actually playing, and only then opens the comment box and types. Comments that arrive faster than a person could have watched are what trigger "You're tapping too fast. Take a break!" on TikTok; watch time is the cheapest protection there is, and it is on for every video.
Two toggles sit next to the hashtag field:
- Also Like — like the video in the same visit, right after the comment. A comment with a like reads as a real viewer; a comment without one can look like a drive-by. It counts toward your daily like limit, not your comment limit.
- Skip Ads — sponsored videos are never commented on (or liked). An ad is scrolled past and logged as a skip with the reason. Commenting under advertisements wastes your quota and reaches nobody you want to reach, so Skip Ads is on by default.
Pacing: 20–45 seconds between each comment, rounds of 5–8
The comment mode is the slowest mode in the extension, and that is intentional. Every comment waits a random 20–45 seconds after the previous one. Comments go out in rounds of 5–8, and between rounds the session rests for 10–20 minutes. A full PRO day of comments is therefore spread across several hours, in bursts the size of a person sitting down to scroll for a few minutes, not a continuous stream.
If TikTok refuses a comment anyway, the extension backs off instead of retrying. The first refusal pauses the comment mode for 2 hours with a countdown you can see in the panel; a second refusal within 7 days pauses it for 24 hours and halves that day's limits. Cooldowns are per mode: a comment cooldown never stops your unfollow or like sessions. If a verification puzzle appears, the session stops and asks you to pass it yourself. You can pause and resume at any time, and the session survives a page reload.
Limits: 7 comments per day free, up to 50 on PRO
| Free | PRO — €9.99/month | |
|---|---|---|
| Auto comments per day | 7 | Up to 50, adjustable slider (starts at 20) |
| Your own comment list, random pick, no repeats in a row | ✔ | ✔ |
| One comment per video, remembered across sessions | ✔ | ✔ |
| Watch time 4–9 seconds before every comment | ✔ | ✔ |
| Also Like and Skip Ads | ✔ | ✔ |
| Automatic back-off, pause/resume, live log | ✔ | ✔ |
The free quota renews every day with no credit card. On PRO the slider starts at 20 and goes up to 50 comments per day. TikTok does not say when its own daily counters reset (reports range from a fixed early-morning hour in the account's time zone to a rolling 24 hours), so the extension keeps its own calendar day.
Why the ceiling is low by design
You will find services that advertise hundreds of comments a day. We cap PRO at 50 comments per day and default to less, and we think that is the honest number. Comment restrictions on TikTok are not triggered by commenting as such; they are triggered by repetition and volume — the same text appearing again and again, or more comments in an hour than a person could type. A few hundred near-identical comments do not get you reach; they get the comments hidden, then the account restricted, and a repeat restriction within a few weeks lasts days rather than hours (see action blocked on TikTok for the messages and timelines).
The low daily limit, the rotation rules and the slow pacing all push in the same direction, but the biggest factor is the list you write. Guidelines that hold up:
| Works | Gets restricted or ignored |
|---|---|
| Eight to twelve different comments, each a full sentence | Two or three short lines recycled all day |
| Specific to the hashtag: "The slow-motion on that landing is exactly how I learned it" | Generic praise that fits any video: "Nice!", "Love this" |
| Words, with an emoji at most as decoration | Emoji-only comments — the clearest automation signal there is |
| Questions and opinions the creator can answer | Links, "follow me", "check my page" |
| Small, focused hashtags where comments are read | Giant hashtags where your comment is one of thousands |
Write comments you would be happy to be quoted on, because you will be: they appear under your name, next to your profile picture, on someone else's video.
Comments are public — test on a secondary account first
A like can be undone silently; a comment cannot. Before you run auto comment on an account you care about, run it for a day or two on a secondary account, with the same hashtag and the same list. Then open the videos, read what went out, and look at it the way a creator would. Does it fit under a video you have not seen? Does it read like a person? Would you answer it? Edit the list until the answer is yes, and only then switch to your main account — starting with the free 7 comments per day before you raise the slider.
How to start in three steps
- Install and open the panel. Add Unfollow for TikTok from the Chrome Web Store, open tiktok.com in a tab you are logged into, click the extension icon and pick the Comments tab. No sign-up, no password.
- Write your list and pick a hashtag. Add eight or more varied, specific comments, type the hashtag, decide whether Also Like should be on, and leave Skip Ads on. Set the daily limit (7 comments per day on the free plan; PRO goes up to 50).
- Press Start and read along. The log shows each video watched, each comment posted and each ad skipped. Pause whenever you like; the Stats tab adds today's comments to your 7-day, 1-month and 3-month charts.
Frequently asked questions
What does auto comment for TikTok actually do?
You pick a hashtag and write a list of your own comments. The extension then opens the videos under that hashtag inside your own logged-in tiktok.com tab, watches each one for 4–9 seconds, and posts one comment from your list chosen at random — never the same text twice in a row and never a second comment on a video it has already commented on. Sponsored videos are skipped, you can like the video at the same time with Also Like, and the session stops at your daily limit: 7 comments per day on the free plan, up to 50 comments per day on PRO (€9.99/month).
Does it write the comments for me?
No, and that is deliberate. Every comment that goes out is one you typed yourself into the list in the Comments tab; you can add to the list or remove from it whenever you want, and it stays in your browser. Generated or copied comments are exactly what makes a comment section look spammy and what gets accounts restricted. Writing eight to twelve varied, specific sentences of your own takes ten minutes and is the whole difference.
Why is the daily limit only 50 comments on PRO?
Because comments are the most visible thing you can automate and the first thing TikTok restricts when it sees repetition and volume. A comment is public, it stays on someone else's video, and the creator and their followers all read it. Fifty varied comments a day on videos you have actually watched is already more than most people ever write by hand; a few hundred identical ones is a restriction waiting to happen. The slider starts at 20 and goes up to 50 comments per day, and we recommend staying near the lower end.
Can the same comment go out twice?
Not twice in a row, and never twice on the same video. Each video gets a random pick from your list, and the pick that was just used is excluded from the next draw. With a list of one comment there is nothing to rotate, so the extension needs at least two texts and works best with eight or more. Videos that already received a comment from the extension are remembered and skipped, even across sessions.
Is it safe to try on my main account?
We recommend a secondary account first. Comments are public and cannot be undone quietly, so run a day or two on a test account, read what went out under real videos, and fix your list before you use it on an account you care about. Pacing is already conservative — 20–45 seconds between each comment, rounds of 5–8 with 10–20 minutes between rounds, and automatic back-off on the first refusal — but human pace lowers the odds of a restriction; it does not remove the risk, and TikTok's terms discourage automation of any kind.
